Bruceshaw announce the completion of Ryder Court, a 70,000ft2 building located in the London St James conservation area. The project involved the refurbishment of the landlord’s Shell & Core and CAT A together with a tenant CAT B fit-out.

The cost planning of the project was particularly challenging due to constraints on the construction works, including limited space for storage of materials outside the building as the property was surrounded by residential parking. Further challenges were presented by the replacement of the base build air-conditioning system whilst the offices were occupied.

Bruceshaw worked closely with the M&E engineers to establish the site constraints and phasing requirements for the project to ensure that the initial budget fully reflected the planned works.

Daniel Wright, Senior Associate at Bruceshaw said:

“With the number of constraints that this building presented, the delivery of this project within budget and programme is a testament to the hands-on collaborative approach that the team adopted from the outset and continued through to final handover.”

Bruceshaw was appointed by TH Real Estate as Quantity Surveyors and worked in collaboration with other members if the project team including GVA Project Managers, MCM Architects, Long &Partners and Robin Low Francis, completing this complex project in 85 Weeks.
