#SDS17 once again showcased the very best in surface design
Visitors came out in force to discover the best in surface design as the Surface Design Show returned to London’s Business Design Centre (7-9 February) for one of its best shows to date and Informare were lucky enough assist during the 2 1/2 days.
Thousands of professional visitors attended over the 2 1/2 days and were not only able to discover the newest products and the latest trends in surface design but were also able to attend seminars and talks from leading experts within the industry.
The Main Stage was the home of the headline acts with topics that appealed across the design world. The stage was designed by Anne Kyro Quinn and created a stunning platform. The ever popular PechaKucha Evening (pictured above) was a highlight of the event programme and saw record numbers attending, forcing attendees to spill out into the aisle so they could still catch a glimpse.
The Light School just completed its fourth year at Surface Design Show. Presented by the Light Collective and supported by the Institute of lighting professionals. The informative talks had a wide range topics set to entertain and constantly attracted visitors from the design industry.
On Thursday 9 February, The Broad designed by ARUP, Dillier Scofidio +Renfro in collaboration with Gensler was declared the Supreme Winner of the 2017 #SDAwards. The Broad also took home the prize in the Light +Surface Interior category.
#SDS17 was one of our most successful years with the show and we can’t wait to see what next year has to offer. The countdown has now begun for Surface Design Show 2018, taking place 6-8 February 2018.
