We are delighted to see that our client @humanscalehq has been featured in this article by the @financialtimes on how plastic waste reclaimed from the ocean is transformed into furniture. ⁣

@bureo, the company that recycles fishing nets to make skateboards to keep plastic fishing nets out of our oceans, cleans and shreds the nets and then passes them on to a third-party recycler to turn into nylon pellets, which are then sold to manufacturers. ⁣
⁣
Most recently, Bureo’s pelleted nets have been used by office furniture manufacturer Humanscale for the frame of its Smart Ocean Chair. ⁣
⁣
The chair has the ergonomic virtues of the best office seating but its slim lines and optional aluminium trim give it a less corporate look than many, making it a strong candidate for the growing numbers of people looking to improve the furniture in their home workspace as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.⁣

@bwworkplaceexperts has sensitively refurbished historic Harella House on Goswell Road in Clerkenwell. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
In total, six floors of lettable Cat A office space have been created for Chait Investment Corporation, within a characterful building, which now has three new terraced areas.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Harella House dates back to the 1930s, starting out as a garment factory for Harella Clothing Manufacturers. This enterprising firm was famous in its day for producing garments in a wider range of women’s sizes.⁣⁣
