Woven Image, a global leader in sustainable, design-led acoustic finishes and textile, is proud to announce a new creative partnership with Ben Goss, an Australian artist, illustrator and graphic designer. This collaboration seamlessly merges Goss’s signature gestural, expressionist work with Woven Image’s industry-leading acoustic products to create a series of functional interior solutions.

The collection comprises of a hero piece Kookaburra and a resulting four distinct designs: Sprig, Dapple, Canopy, and Starview.

Kookaburra is an original painting of Goss’s, with rich colouring and textural layering coupled with botanical inspired motifs. The piece has been scanned and digitally printed onto the original PET acoustic panel EchoPanel®. Translated at a mural scale across three panels spanning 3.5m long by 2.7m high, this artwork demands visual presence.

Sprig is bold and textural, the design brings a graphic and natural rhythm to interiors, offering an energising connection to landscape-inspired colour and pattern.

Dapple is light and quietly expressive, this design feels sun-diffused and gentle. Soft dots are grouped to create botanical marks, creating an airy surface that enhances spaces without competing for attention.

Canopy is rich, confident and architectural, this design explores denser layering and deeper colour. Organic forms are balanced by structure, making it ideal for anchoring larger spaces while still delivering visual softness and acoustic comfort.

Starview is minimal and atmospheric, this design draws from the brush strokes markings and window frame geometries of the original painting to create a sense of depth and movement. Subtle and refined, it pairs effortlessly with contemporary interiors seeking restraint and texture.

Utilising Woven Image’s high-performance EchoPanel® as a base, each range is available in a variety of carefully curated colourways. The Kookaburra hero piece serves as the cornerstone of the collaboration, with its dark, thoughtful tones and splashes of pink and white providing the inspiration for the resulting patterns. As its name suggests, Kookaburra is a celebration of Australian artwork and its enduring place within the nation’s cultural heritage. Goss interprets botanical elements through a contemporary lens, there is a tactility to the composition with brushwork, texture of the canvas and the build-up of pigment all lending to the overall dimension of the piece. The surface absorbs sound while visually inviting nature indoors through colour, layering and botanical form. The result is a surface that engages a room visually and acoustically, creating spaces that feel considered, human and quietly alive.

Ben Goss brings over 20 years of experience to the partnership, having operated at the highest levels of both the art and design industries. His background as the former Design Director for Landini Associates and a designer for the Sydney Opera House provides him with a unique perspective on how visual art integrates into iconic architectural spaces. His work has been exhibited in New York, and Singapore and is celebrated for its unique design and focus on simplicity.

The collaboration translates Goss’s hand-drawn style into functional interior solutions, drawing inspiration from his personal influences including Spanish sculptor Eduardo Chillida. Goss has experience working with global companies such as Herman Miller, Bloomberg Financial and Qantas Australia, further affirming his ability to bridge the gap between artistic expression and commercial application.

Meeting Australian standards for acoustic and fire standards, the collection is expressive while still delivering the performance and sustainability that Woven Image is well known for. It allows designers to bring art into acoustically considered spaces in a way that feels integrated.
