Winners of the Fabco Awards 2025 Revealed
With Donovan Avenue by Matthew Giles Architects taking the Top Prize
Fabco, the UK’s leading manufacturer of internal and external steel windows and doors, is proud to announce the winners of the inaugural Fabco Awards 2025 – a celebration of architectural and design excellence across projects that feature Fabco’s distinctive steel-framed solutions.
Renowned for transforming windows and doors into stylish focal points that blend timeless tradition with contemporary aesthetics, Fabco invited the talented architects and designers it has collaborated with to submit their standout projects for consideration. The Fabco Awards was judged by a panel of industry experts consisting of: Pernille Bonser, CEO Resonate Interiors; Rebekah Killigrew, Editor of Architecture Magazine and Interior Design Magazine; Cate St Hill, Design and Interiors Writer, Blogger and stylist, and Paul Brivati, Managing Director of Kitchen Architecture. Along with the judges choice award there was also a public vote which was decided through votes on Fabco’s Instagram. Ten projects were shortlisted with every judge expressing how high the quality of the entries was, with Rebekah Killigree announcing, “This is not going to be easy”.
Donovan Avenue a stunning double height kitchen extension by Matthew Giles took the top prize with the judges commenting: “A showstopping double height space really draws attention to the architecture of the space and the Fabco windows and doors. The windows and doors really help add character to what could have just been a white box”. With Cate St Hill commenting “This has to be my favourite – it’s sleek, elegant and really has that wow factor”.
Another stand out project was Cosmos House by MW Architects, another double height extension but this time in white. This project impressed the judges so much that it was decided to award it as highly commended with the judges commenting “A bold and joyful space full of colour, a vibrant re-working of a four-storey property with an abundance of natural light through double storey rear glazing”. With Paul Brivati adding “The design improves access to the garden both physically and visually”. Pernille Bonser agreed “A very sensitive reorganisation of the house, and the white steelwork compliments beautifully the scheme and the brickwork.”
The Public Vote was won by Hampstead House by SPOTS design this beautiful kitchen project really made an impact on Instagram with comments including “Amazing, the functionality and aesthetic in this project is remarkable”
