Mark Lester joins Prolojik as Managing Director, as the firm streamlines its business operations
Open protocol lighting system specialist Prolojik is delighted to announce that Mark Lester has joined the firm as Managing Director, as part of the company’s strategic restructuring that took place alongside a full rebrand this month.
Mark will oversee the evolution of the next phase of the business, as Asela Rodrigo steps into the Founder and CTO positions and Dan King undertakes the role of Product and Operations Director, alongside Mark Vincent and Gary Turner on the board. The streamlining process demonstrates just how far the business has come in its nearly 20 years of trading, it is a positive expansion which will enhance the firm’s current service offering.
After having been at the helm for the past 20 years, Asela felt it was time to broaden the experience and talent at the head of the organisation and these three key appointments have been made to reflect this. The lighting control industry has seen a significant evolution over the past 20 years and through this period, Prolojik has evolved to align with the progress in technology as well as client demands. Today, Prolojik is a business that has as much involvement in smart building data as it is does in lighting control.
Mark will help navigate Prolojik through this milestone year for the organisation, bringing a wealth of industry experience to the business with a career that has been predominantly in the lighting and lighting controls sectors. He has previously held Managing Director positions both overseas and in the UK achieving successful business growth as MD for several companies through strong leadership, effective strategy execution and maximising value for stakeholders. Additionally, three expatriate roles in Asia and North America have reinforced for him the importance of ensuring diversity within the teams he works with.
In line with the company’s restructuring, Asela will now fulfil the roles of Founder and CTO to drive the technical innovation and marketing strategy of the business, while Dan has been appointed to the role of Product and Operations Director to manage the quality and responsiveness of Prolojik’s products.
Dan will take oversight of the complete life cycle of products within the company from new product development, through fulfilment, to quality assurance. This is a critical aspect of the business’ operations and by bringing the full life cycle of products under one team, Prolojik aims to achieve an improvement in quality, consistency and responsiveness. Dan has also joined the Prolojik Board, bringing his experience and insight to the strategic decision-making process of the firm.
2022 marks a year of change for Prolojik, a time to reach new heights.
