USM has joined BIMobject the world’s leading BIM content platform that helps over 2 million architects and engineers worldwide to find products and files for the buildings they create.

USM is the furniture that architects and designers turn too and can be seen in some of the most prestigious architectural projects across the globe. The USM Haller collection is recognised as a design classic through its simple yet ingenious design. From a few basic components a beautiful and iconic piece of furniture is built, USM Haller has been designed to grow with its environments ever changing needs, ensuring its versatility in any design scheme.

On the BIMobject Cloud, USM has published a representative selection of its furniture models. Architects can directly visualise the configuration possibilities and can access the technical, design, and dimensional characteristics of the product.

Feedback from architects and designers has led USM to develop its products in Revit, AutoCAD, 3d’s and Sketch Up to make it easier for them to include the furniture in their plans and 3D digital models. USM Modular furniture has been available on the BIMobject cloud since April 2020 and within the first month, there has been 6,000 downloads worldwide.

About USM

Launched on to the market in 1965 and designed in conjunction with renowned Swiss architect Fritz Haller the USM Haller system has become a watchword for timeless design all over the world. In 1988 it was decided in Germany for the first time ever that the USM Haller furniture system is a work of applied art and should be protected by copyright. Its acceptance into the Design Collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York (USA) at the end of 2001 was a high distinction and confirmed the artistic character of the product. The design classic is used in offices and public buildings as well as increasingly in the style conscious home.
