With the 51st edition of Neocon having been drawn to a close, it is time to reflect upon the moments that made the worlds most important event for commercial interior design the success that it was. Over the span of 3 days Neocon 2019 attracted more than 50,000 of the commercial design worlds manufacturers, dealers, architects, designers, end-users, design organisations and media. With over one million square feet of exhibition space, Neocon offers unmatched access to the most ingenious solutions in commercial design:
At Neocon 2019, Humanscale provided sneak peaks of its newest innovative products, which successfully highlighted the company’s flexibility.
For instance, it announced the arrival of three new additions to Humanscale’s industry-leading seating range with the unveiling of the Alto Stool, Freedom Twenty and Summa. A personal favourite of the Informare team was Summa – Humanscale’s most luxurious chair to date which is currently on display in their St John St showroom. There were also additions to its cable management systems with Neat Up as well as its extensive textile range with a new line of premium chrome-free leather upholstery.
The message of sustainable design as per with Humanscale was a subject of discussion at its stand with the Living Product Challenge and Declare Labels taking centre stage. The message reached home loud and clear with Humanscale highlighting that ‘sustainability is embedded in everything they do’.
The innovative product design firm could be found promoting its latest design Nagare, for Okamura, on the Japanese furniture experts stand this year. To say it was eye-catching would be an understatement and the Informare team were extremely impressed with its elegant design.
Okamura’s Nagare was awarded a 2019 Interior Design Magazine Hip award for the Workplace: Sofa category.
It was no surprise that another of Rainlight’s designs impressed visitors at Neocon 2019. Hosted by Arcadia‘s stand and shortlisted for Interior Designs’ Hip awards, ‘worksmith’ is a collection of products designed to support the makerspace movement and its influence across businesses, schools and healthcare facilities. It pieces work together or independently to create a place where people with shared interests can gather to work on products while sharing ideas, equipment and knowledge.
Neocon delightfully welcomed acoustic furniture specialists Luxxbox’s to the 2019 show with a Silver Award for its latest acoustic pendant, Linea in the Acoustic Panels & Solutions category. It offers sleek, streamline noise reduction for a more productive, enjoyable, and healthy workplace.
