The third episode of Material Matters with Grant Gibson talks with the inspirational metal artist Simone ten Hompel.

They discuss her ‘alternative’ East London studio, getting her first tool box at the age of six, the ‘taste’ of metal, and interestingly, her fascination with spoons.

Perhaps most importantly though, the podcast talks about her dyslexia – how she learned to cope at a school that didn’t really understand and why it has allowed her to see the world in a slightly different way.

Material Matters recently rated #9 in the Apple Podcasts charts and when reviewed for The Observer New Review was “recommended” by journalist Miranda Sawyer.

As well as Spotify & Apple Podcasts, listeners can follow Grant’s LinkedIn and Instagram profiles to find out more about the Material Matters episodes.
