Exhibiting on the London Stand, FUTURE designs is an international lighting manufacturer delivering world class luminaires across the UK, Europe and UAE. They sit amongst the top UK privately owned lighting manufacturers within the fit-out marketplace.
This year their focus is on Wellness & Human Centric Lighting and SMART enabled lighting.
Wellness and HCL: Related to the natural daylight cycle and how decreased exposure to natural light can mean that our biological circadian rhythms can be out of sync with. and possibly detrimental to, our health.
In order to promote wellness, lighting specifiers should seek to make use of systems which vary the colour temperature of artificial light. Reproducing the colours of natural daylight and tracking it throughout the day promotes wellbeing by exposing the human body to the cycle of light which prompts it to produce the correct hormones at the correct times of day, along with cues for other biological processes. This leads to an improved sleep/wake cycle which puts less stress on the body and mind.
SMART Enabled Lighting: Lighting technology is an integral part of SMART buildings. Wireless connectivity incorporated into FUTURE designs luminaires allows communication with smart devices that report back to Building Management Systems (BMS), enhancing efficiency and productivity within commercial buildings.
