Blueprint for the Future
Blueprint magazine has paired nine of London’s best architecture schools with nine of the most exciting international design brands, resulting in a ‘trail’ of exhibitions titled Blueprint for the Future held over three days (17th-19th July) in showrooms across Clerkenwell, the heart of London’s design scene. In addition to this, Blueprint are hosting two lively, challenging and diverse seminars tackling the future of architectural education and practice.

SEMINAR ONE: THE FUTURE OF ARCHITECTURAL EDUCATION

SEMINAR TWO: THE FUTURE OF ARCHITECTURAL PRACTICE

The second seminar will tackle the future of architectural practice, debating what shifts and changes are required in the industry in light of current challenges and opportunities, as well as the changing social, technological and political climate.
Bisley
British storage specialist, Bisley will be welcoming students from the Royal College of Art to its new showroom at 32 Dallington Street, Clerkenwell. The design, by Bisley’s Showroom and Interior Designer Jeanine Goddard, takes Bisley’s unique product portfolio and crucially changes perceptions of what storage can do, defining the working environment by using storage in a different way. The postgraduate students from leading colleges and universities as selected by Blueprint Magazine, will be participating in a multi-site exhibition which gives them the chance to promote their work by pairing up with different showrooms. The Royal College of Art has been named, multiple times, as one of the world’s leading art and design schools.
Ultrafabrics
Ultrafabrics, the maker of intelligent animal-free performance fabrics, will be hosts to students from Central Saint Martins, the world-famous arts and design college, in its first international showroom in the London district. The Ultrafabrics showroom, located at 6 Northburgh Street, is designed by award-winning, Copenhagen and Tokyo-based, interior design agency OEO Studios, and focuses on the Japan-meets-West combination of craftsmanship.
USM
USM, the iconic Swiss modular furniture company, is delighted to have eleven students from The Bartlett School of Architecture exhibiting their work in its showroom at 49-51 Central Street, Clerkenwell. USM’s 1650sq foot showroom provides the perfect environment to experience the full range of USM product, from small storage cabinets to large-scale desking solutions. The Bartlett School of Architecture is internationally renowned for award-winning innovative research and teaching that is academically rigorous, critically informed, design-led and interdisciplinary.
